Report: Nottingham Forest have now placed £10m summer signing on transfer list after being snubbed by Nuno

Nuno Espirito Santo got the better of Nottingham Forest, and now the latter is showing interest in one of their summer acquisitions.

Nottingham Forest had several challenges to overcome in the 2023–24 season, which necessitated some difficult choices.
With victory in the championship game, Nuno Espirito Santo was able to maintain his team’s position in the Premier League for the upcoming season.

But in order to maintain premier league football at the City Ground, the Portuguese manager has had to make some crucial selections.

But, with Forest possibly needing to sell a number of players to balance their books, more challenging choices may need to be made in the upcoming weeks.

There is now interest from the MLS for a player who only signed last summer, and Forest may need to sell some of its players by the PSR deadline of June 30.
Steve Cooper’s signing at Forest has drawn interest from the MLS.

Forest should consider seeing how much money they can make from players they no longer need at the club, as players must be sold before the end of the month.
Odysseas Vlachodimos is a perfect illustration of this, as Ross Wilson and Evangelos Marinakis must cut down on Nuno’s squad’s size.

Vlachodimos is rumoured to be eager to leave Nottingham Forest this summer after growing impatient with his lack of playing time.

It’s also possible that Matt Turner will become surplus to requirements in addition to the Greek custodian.

The Athletic reports that the MLS is now showing interest in Forest’s outcast American custodian.

Turner’s possible return to his native country may be complicated by the financial situation, as Forest is trying to recover the money they spent on players like Vlachodimos.

Only the custodian was acquired by Forest from Arsenal last summer in a deal that totaled about £10 million, including add-ons.

Selling Matt Turner might prompt Forest to look for an improvement.
This season, with many different keepers contributing, Nuno has had a serious problem finding the best custodian between the sticks.

It became evident very soon after the arrival of the Portuguese manager that Turner would not be Nuno’s first choice for the starting goalie.

Under Nuno’s direction, the American started the first five games but failed to maintain a clean sheet in any of them.

Selling Turner this summer could help free up some cash so that a move for another keeper this summer can be made, as his place in the team is obviously not the first choice.

Prior to the summer transfer window opening, it has already been reported that Forest is interested in Gil Vicente custodian Andrew.
