New OC Chip Kelly meets the media following OSU's first spring workout

Ryan Day anticipates that Ohio State’s new offensive coordinator, Chip Kelly, will make changes to the offense this season.

Day made his comments on “The Joel Klatt Show.”

Day also admitted that he tried to hire Kelly two years ago, before Bill O’Brien took over as Buckeyes coach.

Kelly has long been regarded as one of the most innovative offensive minds in the game.

From 2010 to 2012, Oregon’s offense averaged 76 plays per game, 530 yards of total offense, and 47.5 points per game.

The Buckeyes’ fall camp begins in early August, and they open against Akron on August 31 (3:30 p.m., CBS).
