What Ryan Yates said about James Ward-Prowse
During the summer transfer window, the Reds acquired Ward-Prowse from West Ham on a season-long loan.
Ward-Prowse was sent off during the last game against Chelsea, thus he won’t play against Crystal Palace tomorrow.
When asked about the fight for spots at the City Ground right now, Yates mentioned Ward-Prowse by name.
He told the Forest Focus podcast: “I don’t really care to be honest. If anything I just take motivation from it and I just think what an opportunity for me, they’re going to make me a better player.
“I can see positive aspects of them every day. Ward-Prowse, for instance, is a great football player and a top lad with far more Premier League experience than I do. It would be foolish and a wasted opportunity not to see that.”
It’s unclear what proportion of Ward-Prowse’s £100,000 weekly salary Forest is paying him while he’s on loan.
