Sky Sports reporter confirms QPR in talks over Celtic target from Liverpool

Sky Sports reporter Anthony Joseph has confirmed that QPR are in talks with Liverpool over a deal for Owen Beck. Joseph has said that the London club are interested in a loan deal for Beck whilst Celtic remain interested in a permanent deal.

Several clubs are interested in the player, according to Joseph, who made this statement on Twitter/X.

While playing for Dundee last season, Beck made an impression under Tony Docherty’s direction. So much so that Jurgen Klopp brought the Welshman back to Anfield to evaluate him after his impressive performances. The player was a substitute in a victory over Bournemouth, capitalising on an injury crisis along the backline.

According to reports, Celtic has shown interest in the player and has been informed that a permanent contract worth £3 million is needed to secure his services. This may indicate a somewhat lower charge than the total amount, but it gives you an approximate idea. It will be interesting to see if there are any other options in this one, as Celtic is probably keen to add a few to the team.
