Sources: Big update on Everton signing Jack Harrison permanently from Leeds United

According to Football Insider, Jack Harrison wants to make his loan move from Leeds United to Everton permanent.

The loan for the winger does not include a purchase option, but his contract does include a release clause that can be exercised during his time at Goodison Park.

According to sources, a permanent move in the coming months is contingent on Everton’s ongoing ownership saga and their points deduction appeal, which has put expensive transfers on hold.
With his energy and dynamism in Sean Dyche’s new-look side, the 27-year-old has made a big impression since joining in the summer.

Harrison, who joined Leeds for £11 million in 2021 after two successful loan spells at Elland Road, is well-liked by both staff and fans at Everton.

He was one of many Leeds players to use relegation loan clauses in their contracts this summer, allowing him to return to the Premier League after the Whites were relegated last season.
He scored 34 goals and created 32 assists in 206 appearances for his parent club, helping them return to the Premier League in 2020.

This season, he has started 11 league games for Everton and has won over the fans with his significant contributions to the club’s excellent form.

Everton had to accept a 10-point deduction last month after a single violation of Financial Fair Play rules was confirmed, but they are in the process of appealing. Sean Dyche’s side have won seven of their last nine league matches and performed admirably against Tottenham despite losing 2-1.

On Wednesday (27 December), they play at home against Harrison’s former club, Man City.
