Celtic will reject offers for Cameron Carter-Vickers this month despite interest from Premier League clubs, according to Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track Podcast, transfer correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that the Hoops “wouldn’t consider” selling the centre-back, who is valued at £20 million.

The USMNT international is reportedly attracting interest from West Ham United, Nottingham Forest, and Brentford this month, but Celtic are expected to reject any offers in January.

Brendan Rodgers provides positive Cameron Carter-Vickers injury update

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is hesitant to sell one of their best defensive players, even for a high price, due to backline issues this season.

The 26-year-old has been a standout for the Hoops since joining them on loan from Tottenham in 2021.

He arrived permanently for a reported fee of £6 million, but the Hoops expect to make a sizable profit if interest persists in subsequent windows.

Injuries have forced him to miss 12 games across all competitions this season, including Celtic’s most recent league games against Rangers and St Mirren.

If Celtic achieve their £20 million valuation for Carter-Vickers, he will be one of the club’s most expensive departures, with Jota’s reported £25 million move to Al Ittihad in the summer topping the list.

Celtic remain at the top of the league, with an eight-point lead over Rangers.

They face fifth-tier Buckie Thistle in the Scottish Cup on Sunday afternoon (January 21).
