Southampton is closing in on signing.
According to the BBC, Southampton are close to bringing back a star who was on loan during the just finished season.
The Saints have returned to the top level after winning the Championship playoff final last month, and Russell Martin is preparing for it.
Southampton had winger Ryan Fraser on loan from Newcastle United for the season, and his expertise was important in getting them over the line.
Fraser is a player Southampton would like to bring back for their top-flight adventure, and they are close to signing him on a permanent basis.
The winger is about to complete the move.
Fraser, 30 years, appeared 43 times for Southampton in the Championship this season, scoring six goals.
He appeared in the playoff final versus Leeds, playing 70 minutes and being booked.
Fraser’s permanent move to Southampton would mark his return to the south coast after making over 200 appearances for Bournemouth.
