Steph Curry’s injury keeps him out of Mavericks game
SAN FRANCISCO: After sustaining an ankle injury, Warriors star Stephen Curry is healing, but he won’t play with his team on the court on Wednesday against the Mavericks in Dallas.
Curry is “making good progress,” according to the team’s statement following his reevaluation by medical staff on Tuesday.
“He has been cleared to resume on-court workouts in the Bay Area and is expected to join the team for practice in Los Angeles on Friday,” according to the team.
Last Thursday, during the second half of the Warriors’ game against the Bulls, which Golden State lost 125-122, Curry suffered another injury to his problematic right ankle.
He missed the team’s victory in San Antonio on Monday due to an ankle injury, and he will also be absent from Wednesday’s game in Dallas.
Curry will have another assessment on Friday after practice to see if he is ready to play against the Lakers on Saturday after recovering from his injury.
Curry has suffered multiple right ankle injuries during his 15-year NBA career.
