Striker Rejects Move To Nottingham, He has just made dramatic Nottingham Forest decision that will stun Nuno
Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez has rejected an offer to move to Nottingham Forest ahead of Friday’s transfer deadline.
Over the past week or so, Forest’s hunt for a new striker has taken unexpected turns.
Eddie Nketiah, an Arsenal forward, was set to join them, but he chose not to move to the City Ground.
It was revealed earlier today that Nottingham Forest and Feyenoord had come to an agreement over a €35 million fee for the intended transfer of Gimenez.
ESPN Netherlands claims that the Mexican striker has turned down the opportunity to play for the Premier League team this summer.
The forward is not comfortable playing for Nottingham Forest and is not expected to visit the City Ground in the near future.
Gimenez hasn’t said that he won’t remain at Feyenoord this season in the event that he doesn’t find a suitable replacement soon.
In the final moments of the transfer window, Forest will need to look for a new target and attempt to close a deal.
