Tarkowski controversy: Sky pundit reacts immediately to Everton v Forest footage
According to Michael Dawson, James Tarkowski could have been sent off during the match between Everton and Nottingham Forest at Goodison.
The center-back went into the book during the first few minutes of Sunday’s (December 29) match at Goodison Park after overrunning the ball and fouling Ramon Sosa.
As the Merseyside team attempts to defeat the West Bridgford team, Dawson believes the on-field referee made the right decision in not dismissing the English defense and believes the yellow card was adequate.
Speaking on Sky Sports News (29 December), the 41-year-old said: “Everton could’ve had a red card. It wouldn’t have been the right decision, in my opinion. Tarkowski is bringing the ball out, and then he goes straight through Sosa. It was a yellow card.”
