Nottingham Forest
The £70 million Nottingham Forest star is desired by two English teams, but one views him as a left back.
Two Premier League clubs are currently pursuing a Nottingham Forest star in advance of the summer transfer window.
Although clubs aren’t currently able to sign players, preparations are already being made.
In order to avoid receiving an additional point deduction for violating sustainability and profitability regulations, Forest must sell players by June 30th.
This season, Nuno Espirito Santo wants his team to be evaluated only on the pitch, with four points deducted from them in 2023–2024.
It has now come to light that two clubs are keeping an eye on one player, and offers for some elite players are probably on the horizon.
Two Premier League teams are interested in Forest’s Murillo.
The journalist Daniel Taylor, who supports the Forest, has been doing a Q&A with The Athletic today and has talked about Murillo’s future.
He has stated that when the transfer window opens, two Premier League teams will be eager to bid on Murillo.
In addition, he’s implied that one Premier League team views him more as a left-back than a center-back, where he’s performed exceptionally well since joining Forest.
After making his Premier League debut in October against Brentford, Murillo was a constant.
Before he moved to the City Ground in the summer for £10.4 million, Forest managed to stave off competition from Manchester City.
More recently, it has been suggested that Forest could consider Murillo to be worth up to £70 million, which would be a substantial profit.
Forest is struggling to hold onto its star defender.
Given Forest’s position in the hierarchy, larger teams will have more influence over the team this summer.
The Reds are further beset by the additional concern of financial fair play.
It appears that Murillo will depart this summer, and if he does, Forest will profit handsomely from his sale.
The task at hand is to find a player of comparable calibre to replace the 21-year-old, who has shown to be a tremendous talent.
South America has produced some true jewels for Forest, and if he does decide to leave, the team should be working on a left defence replacement.
Although it’s unfortunate, Forest’s chances of keeping Murillo this summer will be greatly hampered by the current circumstances.
