The Media Man for Celtics Announces Parkhead Departure
A major chapter in Ryan Maher’s life as well as the club’s media presence has come to an end with his announcement of his departure from Celtic’s media team.
Maher, who joined Celtic in November 2021 as a senior reporter, soon gained recognition from the team’s supporters thanks to his work as the host of the Official Celtic Podcast and on Celtic TV. During his two and a half years there, he was instrumental in the club’s media outreach, interacting with supporters and fostering a sense of camaraderie with them through intelligent content.
On occasion, he also served as the global matchday host for Celtic TV’s subscribers.
He announced the news of his leaving on X, the official Twitter account, writing:
Goodbye Celtic 👋🍀
Ticking of countries, continents, trophies and unlocking moments that will live forever 🌏🏆🔓
A childhood dream fulfilled and a properly special three seasons being able to travel the world and represent my club 🥹
Onto something exciting 🤟 pic.twitter.com/GEOczPy8sr

“Goodbye Celtic
“Ticking of countries, continents, trophies and unlocking moments that will live forever
“A childhood dream fulfilled and a properly special three seasons being able to travel the world and represent my club
“Onto something exciting.”
He seemed to be making a big effort to promote Celtic’s web presence, especially its video content, which included him vlogging about his travels with the team.
The Celtic media team will really miss him, and his replacement will have big shoes to fill.
