“There’s so much talent.” After Nottingham Forest’s FA Cup victory, Harry Toffolo praises the teenager.
Harry Toffolo praised Nottingham Forest teenager Joe Gardner after he made his debut last night.
After the game, the defender took to Twitter to praise the young player.
So, what did Toffolo say about the Forest teenager’s impact? Let’s look more closely.
What Harry Toffolo said about the Forest gem. Joe Gardner
The talented player appears to have had a significant impact on the City Ground’s first-team squad.
Gardner was summoned from the bench with extra time looming after Gonzalo Montiel signalled his withdrawal.
The 18-year-old earned his first minutes in the Garibaldi for the senior ranks, and it was a proud moment for him.
After the game, Toffolo praised the talented academy product and posted the following tweet:
Big shoutout to Joseph Gardner tonight!! What a humble lad with so much talent.. and he’s one of your own!
Gardner was on the bench for Forest’s defeat to Brentford, but he did not play.
Last night, however, was different, and Gardner even admitted that he would have taken a penalty if it had been called!
Toffolo could be a useful role model for Gardner.
Toffolo hasn’t followed the conventional route to becoming a Premier League footballer, having played in all four divisions of professional English football.
As a result, someone like the 28-year-old could be a good role model for Gardner, especially since he also plays fullback.
Toffolo has really stepped up this season at Forest. He had a nightmare summer and was suspended at one point for violating some betting regulations earlier in his career.
Gardner will seek more opportunities with the Forest team as the season progresses.
Toffolo appears to be the type of player who sets a good example in the Forest dressing room.
As a result, his praise for Gardner speaks volumes, and it will be interesting to see how the defender develops throughout his career.
in other news, Angry Kris Boyd admits that one Celtic player deserves praise after last night.
