Things Go from Bad to Worse for Celtic Loan Bhoy

Due to Hibs’ ongoing struggles in the Scottish Premiership, South Korean midfielder Kwon Hyeok-kyu, who is on loan from Celtic to Hibernian, is having a difficult time adjusting to life in Edinburgh. The midfielder signed with the Easter Road team in the hopes of gaining much-needed playing time and acclimating to Scottish football’s demands.

His objective is very clear: to win over Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers and demonstrate that he can be a valuable member of the Parkhead team the next season. However, Hibs’ subpar performance has impeded Kwon’s advancement.

Although Kwon’s performance on Saturday wasn’t bad by any means, it can be difficult to succeed in a team that is having identity issues. Hibs appear to be a team lacking purpose and consistency under manager David Gray, which is making it challenging for players like Kwon to completely express their potential. The team’s results have shown that Gray, who took over as head coach this summer, is still getting to know his new position.

After his brief stay in Paisley last season, Kwon had thought that his loan spell would be the ideal chance to get used to the pace and toughness of the Scottish game. However, the situation is less than ideal.

Rather, he finds himself leading a team that is undergoing change and unable to produce outcomes. The hope for Celtic supporters is that Kwon’s skill isn’t obscured by Hibs’ current difficulties and that he comes back to Parkhead next season prepared to challenge for a spot in Rodgers’ plans.
