Two Rangers players will play again against Hearts, according to Philippe Clement, but seven more were forced to miss practise due to injuries.

Ryan Jack and Abdallah Sima could play in the Scottish Premiership again tomorrow, the Ibrox boss confirmed.

As they recover from their first injury, the two will only see “very little” playing time.

On Saturday, Leon Balogun’s involvement will be subject to a question mark and a late decision.

“Sima will be back in selection to play some minutes, very little as his first step back,” Clement clarified.

Ryan Jack is the same as well. Leon Balogun is almost back, but he is a question mark for tomorrow.”
Subsequently, the Belgian manager verified that seven players remain absent from training due to various injuries.

Danilo, Oscar Cortes, Borna Barisic, Tom Lawrence, Connor Goldson, John Souttar, and Rabbi Matondo are still not involved.
Clement continued, saying, “Due to injuries, Soutar, Goldson, Barisic, Lawrence, Cortes, Matondo, and Danilo are not participating in training.

Philippe Clement: In Belgium - Rangers Journal
“Everyone else in the squad now has a fight to make the selection for the cup final.”

Regarding the injury problems that have beset the team this year, Clement stated: “There are players who have participated in nearly every game, as well as isolated instances.

Given the number of injuries, it is obvious that we must end this pattern in order to strengthen the team.

“We want a team that can compete all the time.”
