View: The clash between Coventry City and Manchester United could be detrimental in the battle to keep Callum O’Hare
If O’Hare performs well against the Red Devils at Wembley, the Sky Blues will find it even more difficult to keep him.
Coventry City have an extremely exciting opportunity coming up as they prepare to face Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-finals.
The Sky Blues have had another successful league season, and they remain in the play-off race with nine games to go.
Away from the Championship, Coventry have had a fantastic FA Cup run, and they now prepare to face the Red Devils at Wembley Stadium.
Their FA Cup journey began at home against Oxford United, where they won comfortably 6-2 in the third round, before defeating Sheffield United in a replay in the fourth round.
Coventry hosted Maidstone United of the National League South in the fifth round, and Mark Robins’ side advanced to the last eight with a 5-0 win.
That was where they met Premier League Wolves at Molineux, and nobody could have predicted how the game would end.
The Sky Blues led 1-0 in the second half, but two goals in the 83rd and 88th minutes appeared to seal the win for the hosts.
Then, Coventry’s Ellis Simms and Haji Wright scored in the 97th and 100th minutes of normal time to make it 3-2 and send the Sky Blues to Wembley.
It was simply one of the best games in Coventry’s modern history, and it meant they’d face Erik Ten Hag’s side in the semi-finals once the final four were drawn.
While it may be an extremely exciting opportunity, the only minor drawback is that all eyes will be on Coventry’s best players, who are sure to attract a lot of attention after all of this success.
Callum O’Hare could attract more suitors following Coventry City vs Manchester United.
An FA Cup semi-final for a Championship team at Wembley Stadium will undoubtedly draw a lot of attention to their star player, and in Coventry’s case, Callum O’Hare will be one of those under the spotlight.
The 25-year-old is having a great season for the Sky Blues and is attracting a lot of attention from other clubs, with a number of them keeping an eye on him. Southampton is said to be interested, as are Everton and Fulham from the Premier League.
According to journalist Tom Collomosse, Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers are also interested in the player, with Burnley and Leicester City joining the chase earlier this year, according to HITC.

O’Hare obviously has a lot of options heading into the summer transfer window, and the upcoming FA Cup semi-final against United provides him with an ideal opportunity to shine.
A strong performance against one of English football’s biggest clubs in such a big game would entice many clubs and most likely land him the best career opportunity.
As much as Coventry would like to win against Manchester United and have O’Hare put on a fantastic performance, they must be concerned about losing one of their most valuable players, especially if he puts on a performance to remember next month at the home of English football.
Callum O’Hare would be a big loss for Coventry City.
O’Hare’s contract expires in the summer, which could spell disaster for the Sky Blues because one of their key players is expected to leave on a free transfer.
The diminutive playmaker has spent the last five seasons with Coventry, where he has consistently impressed and appeared in crucial moments.

In his first season, he scored seven goals to help his team earn promotion to the Championship.
This season, despite not always being in the starting lineup due to a serious knee injury, he has been one of the Sky Blues’ most important players.
He began the season on the bench, but has since scored six goals and assisted three in the Championship, an impressive record for an attacking midfielder who has only made 14 league appearances this season.
O’Hare has also contributed to their FA Cup victory, scoring once against Oxford United and twice against Sheffield Wednesday.
Coventry would have a difficult time replacing O’Hare because he contributes so much going forward, but it is becoming increasingly likely that he will leave in the summer, and a strong performance against Ten Hag’s porous defence could attract other bigger clubs with far more resources – effectively ending Cov’s chances of keeping him beyond the end of the season.
