Watford Observer reports that that the central defender has been training with the Hornets at London Colney this week, and while the deal has yet to be confirmed, he is expected to move to Vicarage Road.

Tikvic, who was born in Hamburg to Croatian parents, stands 6 feet 4 inches tall and is left-footed, making him an alternative to Wes Hoedt on the Hornets’ left side of the backline.

The 20-year-old was linked with a move to Vicarage Road in January, after joining the Pozzo-owned club from Bayern Munich’s reserve team in September.

Tikvic stated after joining Udinese: “I see myself as a tactically-astute player. I’m good in possession and I’ve got a great left foot. Despite my height I’ve got good ball skills and I’m quick.”

The defender, who previously played for St Pauli and Hamburg before joining Eintracht Frankfurt’s academy, started his senior career with Türkgücü München before moving to the German giants.
