“We’re obviously disappointed he’s going to be missing” – Barry Ferguson reveals why Vaclav Cerny misses Rangers’ clash with Dundee

Rangers will be without winger Vaclav Cerny for tonight’s Scottish Premiership showdown against Dundee, with interim boss Barry Ferguson confirming the Czech international has been sidelined due to a hamstring injury.

Cerny, one of Rangers’ standout performers this season, sustained the issue during the international break, and Ferguson made the call to leave him out to avoid aggravating the problem.

“We’re obviously disappointed he’s going to be missing. He’s come back with a hamstring issue, and I decided it wasn’t worth the risk because he’s a big player for us,” Ferguson told Rangers TV before the match at Dens Park. “We’ll have to see how he recovers.”

Opportunity for Hamza Igamane to Shine

With Cerny ruled out, Ferguson is turning to Hamza Igamane, who scored the dramatic winner in Rangers’ recent 3-2 victory over Celtic. The Moroccan forward has been handed a chance to prove he deserves a regular place in the starting XI.

“It’s a good opportunity for him. He should be full of confidence after scoring against Celtic and getting called up for Morocco. I’m expecting a big performance from him today,” Ferguson added.

Rangers Look for a Strong Finish Despite Cerny’s Absence

The loss of the 27-year-old winger is a setback for Rangers as they push for a strong end to the campaign. However, with players like Igamane stepping up, Ferguson will hope his squad can maintain momentum and keep their title ambitions alive.
