What Alexandro Bernabei’s is doing at Internacional and what it may mean for his Celtic career
Bernabei content with life while on Celtic loan
When Bernabei first joined the Brazilian club, he had difficulty breaking into the Internacional squad.
After missing the first fifteen league games of the year, Bernabei has made ten starts and played the full ninety minutes this season.
The best part, in his opinion? Internacional is currently sitting in a lofty eighth place in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A after winning eight, drawing one, and losing just one of those ten matches.
Bernabei, who has a 7.65 rating on Fotmob, is among the team’s best players. With 16 chances created, a goal, and an expected assist rate of 2.1 per game, the Argentine is emerging as a very potent attacking fullback.
Bernabei is making a defensive contribution as well, with 24 interceptions and 52 victories in duels; however, his 55% success rate in tackling needs work.
The future of Alexandro Bernabei in Celtic
Despite Bernabei’s stellar tenure in the international team, I believe the majority of people will concur that his time at Celtic is coming to an end.
Though it might not be possible, it would be wonderful to see him attempt to establish a career at Celtic.
However, Celtic can still benefit regardless of whether he returns to the club or not because if Bernabei continues his impressive form then that will give the club a better chance of recouping much of the large transfer fee that was shelled out for him.
